"I am the stimulator of the tree of Universe"

1.When we get more and more acquainted with the entire Vedik literature, the scriptural connotation in which the term 'tree' is used becomes clear.

2. In ancient Bharatham ( Even today in certain parts of Bharatham ) worship of  plants and trees are common, examples: Banyan tree, Pupil tree, Neem tree, Koovala tree, Tulasi, Lotus, Thechi, Pitchakam, Mantaram, Turmeric and so on.....

3. It is the tradition of Hindu thought from  the early days of Vedas to consider the entire Universe in the form of a tree.

4. This is mentioned in all Upanishads, Srimad Bhagavadgeeta, and other texts also.....

5. The finite world of plurality is conceived of as an Asvattha tree because a banyan tree, can be considered relatively immortal due its long days of existence,

6. again, there is no single tree which can be otherwise quoted which has such a large number of branches and leaves which are ever in a state of agitation, with so many adventitious roots hanging from its branches, touch the earth and fix them underneath, forming pillars of support.

7.  Next : Asvattha : Sva means 'tomorrow', Ttha means 'existence, hence Svattha means 'that which exists tomorrow also', when the negative sense 'Á' ie prefixed it becomes Asvattha, meaning, 'that which will not exist tomorrow'---- that which is finite.

8. This tree of Universe, representing in itself the entire world of objects, is vitalised by the eternal, all-pervading Consciousness.

9.  'I'the Pure Self, the Conscious Principle, the Infinite Reality, is the Stimulator in the entire Tree of Universe; 'I am' the sap of Life, wherever it is manifested, from the lowest to the highest.

10. Thus "I am the stimulator of the tree of Universe."

Taittiriya Upanishad: Chapter-1 ( Siksha Valli), Section-10 ( Sacred recitation of Rishi Trisanku after realisation), Mantram-1.

Will be continued in the next.......
